Auto Review: 2011 Lexus GX

The 2011 Lexus GX is available in the 460 trim and the 460 Premium trim. Both of these are replacing the GX 470.

The GX 460 features a 4.6-liter V8 engine that puts out 301 horsepower and 329 pound-feet of torque. Paired up with a six-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed four wheel drive system, this vehicle is one powerful mojo. The body style is SUV.

But let’s qualify that we’re talking about a luxury SUV. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill get around town car.

The fuel efficiency on the GX is 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. That’s a step up from the 470. In fact, the 460 is a step up all around.

The 2011 Lexus GX features 18-inch wheels, illuminated running boards, and an adjustable transfer case at the flip of a switch. Off roading in your Lexus GX will be a lot more fun.

The audio system features a 6-CD changer with Bluetooth and iPod integration. As an option, you can have a rear seat entertainment system installed, with dual monitors. Another option is a 17-speaker system.

Inside, the seating compartment is spacious and roomy with lots of cargo space. If you’re looking for sophistication, luxury, and performance, no one does it better than Lexus, and the 2011 Lexus GX does it better than anything else on the road.
