South Korean automaker Hyundai has been one of the consistent auto manufacturers in the past 20 years. The 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS is another testament to the skilled craftsmanship that has gone into making Hyundai cars.

The GLS is a mid-level compact SUV, starting MSRP is $21,845. That’s not bad. In fact, as SUVs go, it’s darn good.

The standard engine for the 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 176 horsepower and 168 pound-feet of torque. The drivetrain is a 6-speed automatic and it comes with an all wheel drive option.

Other standard features include:

  • 17-inch alloy wheels
  • Air conditioning and power windows
  • Power door locks and mirrors
  • Keyless entry
  • Leather wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls
  • Heated side mirrors
  • Bluetooth
  • XM radio
  • 6-speaker AM/FM/CD stereo
  • USB/iPod integration
  • Tinted glass

The 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS is also spacious. It seats up to five with lots of legroom and head and shoulder room. Plus, the cargo space is out of this world – 55.8 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded down.

As an additional option, you can get Hyundai’s world class in-dash navigation system along with a backup camera, premium audio, and automatic headlamps.

The interior is also plush and comfortable and, of course, the 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS is a safety-conscious vehicle with all the right accoutrement for adults and children.
