Teaching Your Teens Better Driving – Street Survial School – St Louis BMW Car Club of America
There are somethings in life that just kill you to let go of and one of those is handing over a set of keys to your new teen driver for the first time. BMW CCA and TireRack.com host a driving school called Street Survival which helps instill in young drivers emergency vehicle controls and safe driving through classroom and a variety of hands-on driving experiences in a safe track controlled environment. Drivers are put through several scenarios including emergency braking during turns, emergency lane changes, forward and reverse slalom, 2 and 8 point figure eights and both wet and dry emergency braking. Each student is designated their own instructor for the day and the student drives their own vehicle (or vehicle they are custom to). By the end of the course your teen is much more prepared for real-life vehicle emergencies that may be thrown at them.
