New Jersey Dealership Considers Wrangler History

The Jeep Wrangler isn’t a newcomer to your Jeep dealer near Avenel. In fact, the Jeep Wrangler can trace its history all the way back to those original Jeeps first produced for World War II. After World War II the Jeep CJ appeared, which was eventually replaced by the Wrangler.

The first generation of the Jeep Wrangler is known as the Wrangler YJ. This Wrangler began production in 1987, and were made in Brampton, Ontario from 1987 until 1992. This Jeep had a soft and a hard top version. You could choose from three different engine choices and from four different transmissions for the Wrangler YJ.

The Jeep Wranger TJ was the second generation of the Wrangler. It was made beginning in 1997, and was made for ten years until 2007. Here again, you could get either a soft or a hard top. There were the same number of engine and transmission selections, as well

Today’s Jeep Wrangler is the KJ model. It’s the first Wrangler to offer four doors. It offers several trim levels, but only one engine and two transmission choices.
