New Car NJ Dealer Offers Facts about New Legislation

Friday, January 30th, 2009

As a public service, your new car NJ dealer would like to let you know about a new piece of legislation working its way through the state’s House and Senate. This new bill would require drivers convicted of drunk driving to have an ignition lock placed on their vehicles. This attachment would work as a breathalyzer for the driver. If it senses alcohol on the driver’s breath, it locks the ignition so the car eill not start.

The proposal will make it necessary for first-time DUI drivers whose blood-alcohol level was .15 or higher to have this ignition lock installed on their vehicle. It also gives judges more leeway when deciding who should be mandated to have these locks and for how long they should have them.

Drunken driving accidents are certainly something that can and should be avoided. It’s sad that we as a society have to take measures like this prevent something completely preventable. How do you feel about proposals like this? Do you think it is too harsh or do you think actions like this are necessary in order to reduce the number of drunk drivers on the roads? Your Monmouth Junction area Jeep dealer would love to hear your thoughts below.

New Jersey Dealership Happy about Return of Jeep Workers

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Your New Jersey dealership is happy to announce that many Jeep employees have returned to work at the Toledo plant this week. The Jeep assembly facility shut down before Christmas and this is the first time the workers have been able to punch their time cards since then.

David Jones, one of the Jeep employees at the plant, had this to say about returning to work: “You feel great about going back because now you can make more money (and you can) be productive.”

And although some are not getting their hopes up about long-term employment at the plant, some workers are confident in the new Jeep products which will help provide work for the employees. An all-electric Jeep product which is in the company’s long-term plans offers a sense of optimism for some workers.

Lately, there’s a story in the news every day about another company getting rid of thousands of employees simply because they cannot afford them anymore. It’s refreshing to hear stories like this one about a company bringing workers back. Show your support for the automaker by visiting your Avenel area Jeep dealer and checking out their products. You may find something you never even thought of before!

Jeep Dealerships Discuss Obama's New Plan

Monday, January 26th, 2009

It’s nearly impossible to get away from political discussions these days. That’s why your New Jersey Jeep dealerships want to discuss the new push from President Obama towards cleaner and more efficient cars.

Today, President Obama opened a “double-barreled assault on global warming and U.S. energy woes,” according to a recent article. He vowed to look for alternatives to foreign oil in order to reduce our dependence on other hostile nations for that one precious commodity. His major plan is to make it easier for states to enact stricter emission standards while making new federal rules to force automakers “to start making more fuel-efficient cars as required by law.”

Whether you agree with his policies or not, we should all strive to be more responsible citizens toward the environment. One of the ways we can do that is to choose more efficient and cleaner-burning vehicles. However, many opponents of the new regulations say his enthusiasm to make these changes so quickly could cost consumers thousands of dollars on new “greener” cars. Many also think these quick changes are unnecessary considering the fact that global warming came in last in a list of 20 things Americans are concerned about these days.

Either way, you can get a fuel-efficient car right now at your Denville area Jeep dealer before the new regulations cause prices to skyrocket. Check one out today!

New Car NJ Dealer Offers Discusses Benefits of GPS

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

GPS devices are a great thing to have in your car. Your new car NJ dealer knows this and would like to discuss some of the benefits of having a GPS device.

1. Turn-by-turn directions – The main reason people buy a GPS device for their car is so they can look up directions to anywhere they need to go. GPS devices offer turn-by-turn directions so you never get lost again. You can even choose the voice feature on most devices which will speak the directions to you so you never have to take your eyes off the road.
2. Vehicle tracking – Many GPS devices offer a vehicle tracking feature that will help authorities find your car in case it gets stolen.
3. Business finder – Are you looking for the nearest gas station or the nearest Italian restaurant? Many of today’s GPS devices are equipped with lists of local businesses wherever you may be.
4. Emergency help – If you get into an accident or need emergency personnel, some GPS devices can alert the authorities when you are unable to do so.

These are just a few benefits you can enjoy when you invest in a built-in or portable GPS device for your vehicle. Visit your Avenel area Jeep dealer for more information about vehicles that come with a GPS device already installed for your convenience.

New Jersey Dealership Offers Tips for Choosing a Mechanic

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Your New Jersey dealership knows that choosing a mechanic is one of the most important (and difficult) tasks of owning a car. How do you choose one that treats you fairly and does good work? Here are some tips to remember from your New Jersey dealership for when you decide to look for a mechanic.

Don’t Wait until It’s Too Late
Trying to find a trustworthy mechanic when you need a major emergency repair is not ideal. Instead, start looking around when you need minor repairs or preventative maintenance. For instance, test one out by getting an oil change to see how they treat you. If you find one that you can trust for minor things, you can build a relationship before major repairs are needed.

Ask for References
These days, you can go online to some of your local websites and see what people are saying about mechanics in your area. Are there a lot of complaints? What types of complaints are they? Also, ask your family and friends about the mechanic they use. If they are pleased, you probably will be, too.

Look for Certifications
A reputable mechanic will have their qualifications and certifications in their facility for everybody to see. Look for these when you are trying new mechanics.

Of course, you can always visit the service garage at your Monmouth Junction area Jeep dealer and get treated fairly. Check us out for your next repairs and we’ll treat you right!

Jeep Dealerships Warn about Teen Drivers

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Your local Jeep dealerships are concerned about the safety of teen drivers. They are some of the most distracted drivers on the roadways and being inexperienced behind the wheel doesn’t help either. In fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 57,000 teen drivers were killed in auto accidents between 1994 and 2003.

As a result of these figures, a man by the name of Greg Grob decided to try and do something about it. He created the company Hotfoot, which is an Internet website that lets parents monitor the driving habits of their teens. “If somebody witnesses their teen acting up the person that witnesses it would actually be able to call an 800 number and leave a voice message and within seconds of the voice message the parent would receive an e-mail alert.”

Parents can log onto Hotfoot.info and create an account after paying a small fee. The parents will then receive a personalized decal with a vehicle ID number and the 800 number. They can put the decal on the car for other drivers to see so they can call the number if they witness reckless driving.

Your Avenel area Jeep dealer encourages you to sign up for this service or some other service that allows you to monitor your teen driver. It’s not spying if it is done for their safety and the safety of others on the road.

New Car NJ Dealer Warns against Auto Insurance Fraud

Friday, January 16th, 2009

Your new car NJ dealer wants to warn you about the rise of auto insurance fraud. Since economic times are tough, many people are looking for ways to get some money, even if that means committing a felony to do so.

Auto insurance companies have noticed a sharp increase in vandalism claims. More and more people are “torching, drowning or dumping” their vehicles in hopes of claiming the insurance money. Auto fire insurance claims have increased by at least 6 percent in the last year with Michigan, New York and Indiana being the “hot spots” (pun intended) for these types of claims. In these three states alone, burned car claims have gone up between 13 and 18 percent, according to State Farm Insurance’s special investigations unit.

Another example of this behavior occurred just months ago before Hurricane Gustav hit. Dozens of new cars were left at the water’s edge in Gulfport, Mississippi within hours of the hurricane’s landfall. There are even crime rings across the country that will steal and burn your car for a price or destroy them beyond recognition.

“Increasingly, people are turning to insurance fraud as a quick bailout for their financial misery, to get out of auto leases they can no longer afford, and to pay off credit card or mortgage debt,” explained a spokesperson for the Coalition Against Auto Fraud.

Your Denville area Jeep dealer just wants you to know these things are going on. But you can get a great deal on a new or used car at your new car NJ dealer so you won’t have to resort to such extreme measures to make your car payments. Check one out today!

New Jersey Dealership Suggests GPS for Teen Drivers

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

If you’re a parent of a teen driver, you know how difficult it is to watch them get behind the wheel and drive away. You never know what awaits them out on the open roads. But your New Jersey dealership suggests installing a GPS device in your car to reduce some of the stress you feel when they take the wheel.

Several prominent auto insurance companies, including AIG, AllState and SafeCo are offering GPS devices and programs like TeenSurance to help you monitor your teens while they are driving. These new devices are ideal for two reasons – you can monitor your teen’s driving habits and you can get a discount on your insurance premiums. The devices offered by these and other insurance companies provide real-time monitoring features so you know where your teen is at any given second.

In addition to these GPS devices, some manufacturers offer similar devices with features that tell you how fast your teen drives and how fast they reached a particular destination. The information is stored on a flash drive that you can remove any time.

Your Avenel area Jeep dealer is committed to safe drivers. We encourage you to utilize these and any other devices you can find to keep your teen drivers safe behind the wheel. You owe it to yourself, other drivers and your family, too.

NJ Jeep Dealerships Offer Car Repair Tips

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Getting repairs done on your vehicle can be a daunting experience. You never know how much it’s going to cost, how long it’s going to take and you have very little control over the situation. But your NJ Jeep dealerships want to offer some tips to help reduce the stress and frustration associated with car repairs.

1. Be available. A repair shop is like a production line – they try to get your car in the bay, diagnosed and fixed in an organized manner. If it takes them hours to get in touch with you after they have diagnosed the problem, you may get moved to the bottom of the list so they can work on another car in its place.
2. Let the mechanic diagnose the problem. Don’t tell them what you think it is or anything like that. You may mislead them and you could be completely wrong. Just let the mechanic know what the symptoms are and let them go from there.
3. Be respectful. Don’t treat the mechanic like a “grease monkey” or talk down to them. They have a bad reputation that is, for the most part, unwarranted.

Your Jeep dealerships want to help ensure a good experience when you visit the mechanic. Of course, if your car is beyond repair or if you just want something new, visit your Denville area Jeep dealer. A new car that needs no repairs is a great way to enjoy 2009!

Now Is the Best Time to Buy a New Car in NJ

Friday, January 9th, 2009

With the financial crunch hitting businesses and individuals hard, you may not think that now is a good time to buy a new car in NJ. However, nothing could be further from the truth. If you’re looking to buy a new car in NJ right now, you are looking at the ideal time. According to a report in The Associated Press this week, buyers can find great deals right now as manufacturers are “willing to slash thousands off sticker prices and offer interest-free money.”

By now, you’re probably asking yourself, “What’s the catch?” There isn’t a huge catch as long as you can qualify for a car loan. The financial situation has caused banks and lenders to be more stingy careful with their money. As a result, fewer people are qualifying for the loans needed to get a new car in NJ and every other state in the country as well. “The biggest challenge we’ve got is the availability of credit,” said Dale Early, the owner of a Jeep dealer in Texas. He said approvals at his facility have dropped by about 50 percent, which is an 80 percent drop from last year.

Don’t let this scare you, though. You can still visit your Avenel area Jeep dealer and see if you qualify for a loan to get a new car in NJ. Some people are surprised that they are “credit worthy,” but you’ll never know until you try!
