The 2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R is available in two trims: The SE-R and the SE-R Spec V. The former offers a 177 horsepower 2.5-liter engine with a CVT transmission. The Spec V features a 200 horsepower engine, six-speed manual transmission, a more finely-tuned suspension, limited slip differential and larger breaks. The fuel efficiency specs break down this way:
- SE-R = 24 mpg in the city; 30 mpg on the highway
- Spec V = 21 mpg, city; 29 mpg, highway
The Nissan Sentra has always been a practical sedan. The Sentra SE-R and Spec V offer a more sporty look with a rear spoiler, which has now been added to all Sentras, as well as driving lights and low skirts. Each trim also has four wheel disc brakes.
Both vehicles have added acceleration features, giving you more pickup at shorter distances.
The audio system of both vehicles is also something to boast about. They both come equipped with an audio system display screen and an eight-speaker 340-watt Rockford-Fosgate unit.
As an upgrade, you can get a navigation system on both the 2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R and 2011 SE-R Spec V. Another option is a power moonroof. Also available for options are keyless entry and start and a rear view monitor.
Standard on both trims are 17″ alloy wheels.
The 2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R takes the practicality of previous Sentra models and touches it up with some extra sporty features while not abandoning the economy of the vehicle’s manufacturing and road skills.
